Since Germany's Invasion of Norway Fliegerkorps X has performed interdiction
on Allied convoys travelling south along the Scottish coast or travelling
North to Russia.
Opposing
them were the Hurricanes and Spitfires of the RAF based in RAF Peterhead.

Banff is undergoing construction for coastal command but can be used
for emergency landings.

During
the night German aircraft performed a mine-laying operation ahead of
convoy H.X. 126 that has forced the convoy to hold off
the coast near RAF Peterhead.
Our
dawn CAP successfully intercepted a lone German reconnaissance aircraft
but not before it was within visual range of the convoy. SigInt believe
the aircraft was able to report the location of the convoy and m

ago German aircraft from Fliegerkorps X have been detected by Chain
Home taking off from Herdla. They are expected to attack the convoy.
It is likely that a high speed naval flotilla have been deployed to attack as well.
The
convoy is currently holding in grid E2 while mines that were laid overnight
are cleared from their navigation course.

During
the night JU-88's performed a hurried minelaying operation east
of Peterhead to block the movement of a British convoy reported by U-boats.
Dawn
reconnaisance have located the convoy holding in grid E2.
We
will be scrambling all available anti-shipping assets to interdict the
convoy.
RAF
Peterhead is nearby and is expected to put up a fierce defense of Hurricanes
and Spitfires. It is only a matter of time before the convoy will be
moving again so it is important to inflict as much damage as quickly
as possible.
