[Angels] Squadron

The [Angels] squad aspires to work in a professional and coordinated manner in online air combat events. To reach this all members work through a tiered training course working from the absolute basics up to advanced flight leadership. The training material is based upon the Angels and Airspeed book, written from training experiences accrued over 7 years training members of various online flight sim squadrons and other material.

Recruit
Upon joining an individual is a recruit. Once they have completed their basic training they will be become airmen.

Airman
An airman will be given training in combat related subjects. Once an Airman has successfully completed training they will become a wingman.

Wingman
When a member becomes a wingman they will spend some time at this level in their training, gaining combat experience flying wingman to their element or flight lead in online combat events.
Those who show an aptitude and the desire to advance their skills further will begin element lead training.

Element Lead
Experienced element leads that have proven their ability to manage their element in online combat events may be selected to undergo flight lead training.

Flight Lead
Members who attain Flight Lead status will have one further set of training. Much of this will be informal and mostly based on experience gained in online combat. A flight lead who has shown excellent ability may reach a final rank of Squadron lead.

Squadron Lead
The end of the road. Squadron Lead members will be responsible for Liaison, battle planning and general administration in relation to specific online events.
